I do photography for the moments that deserve to be remembered.
For the kids growing up faster than anyone realizes. One day you are rocking them to sleep, and before you know it they are taller, more independent, and changing right before your eyes. Life moves fast, and sometimes photos are the only way to slow it down for just a second.
For the families who may not understand today just how important these photos will become tomorrow. As a former foster parent, and as someone who moved around a lot as a child, I know what it feels like to grow up without many photos to look back on. Because every child deserves proof they were here, they were loved, and they mattered. Photos become part of their story — something they can hold onto long after childhood is gone. The smiles, missing teeth, messy hair, tiny hands, and memories that slowly fade with time.
I have always loved the small views of life — the little details, quiet expressions, and moments most people rush past. But living with lupus has changed the way I see those moments even more. Now I truly live in them. The quick snips of photos are not just images to me… they are a way to hold onto a feeling, a second in time, and a memory that can pull me right back into that exact moment years later.
This is more than taking pictures to me.
It is preserving memories, connections, emotions, and the little moments that may one day mean everything.
So here I go, sharing life through my lens!
